Poem: MARY

A cock crowing at dusk
And the sounds of the early crickets shrieking and the birds chirping;
The barks of dogs in places far away
And the humming of the engine of a motorcycle on the road nearby;
The sounds of your friends voices becoming distant from you
As your horizon broadens
And you lay in a corner in the same room as them, writing
Can only be truly appreciated when you make love to Mary.
